FAQ

Some questions that are asked frequently

WHAT TYPE OF FILES SHOULD I SEND YOU?

We require all your related floor plans and elevations. We can accept DXF, FBX, PDF, JPEG or even a sketch, just send an email and we can have a look at your files and advise you.

If you have any 3D files, then send these too as we may be able to offer a discount and speed up the whole process. We accept FBX, OBJ and many other formats, just let us know and we can advise you on what steps to take or if we can use them.

HOW LONG WILL MY RENDER TAKE?

This depends on a few factors, the number of renders you require and the size and detail of the work. We can give you a better idea once we see your plans and brief us on want you would like. A rough estimate for a normal house is, the first draft will be sent within 48 hrs.

If you need the job urgently, we can work overtime and prioritise your job for a small additional fee.

OTHER THAN PLANS & ELEVATIONS, WHAT OTHER INFORMATION DO YOU REQUIRE?

  • We need to know about the finishes, colours and materials to use. A finishes schedule will generally have all this information on it.
  • What would you like to capture and a general idea of the angle you would like to use? You can mark it up on the plan or we can give you a couple of angle options in the first drafts.
  • We need to know what the image is for and how you plan to use it. This will help determine the final image size and we can quote more accurately.
  • If you need site specific photos for the back or foreground, then send them to us. If not, we can use images from our library.

WHAT SIZE WILL MY FINAL RENDERS BE?

The general standard we use is around A3 paper size. This works well for many applications such as the web and brochures. If you need it to be bigger, just let us know when asking for your quote.
